Over 100 degrees here today--working outside---

Last week I took out two 6040 windows (6 wide, 4 high) and cut out the masonry wall beneath them. Then installed sliding glass doors in the hole. Today I installed flagstone porches in front of the doors. I dug a small foundation, rebar around the edge, mixed concrete and laid a lot of flagstone. Then mortared the joints, brushed and cleaned up.
Eight hours total, and I almost passed out. Came home, showered, and cold beer. Starting to come out of it. June is brutal here.
I'm getting too old for this shit. (64)
It looks beautiful.

so just be careful. It sucks when it gets that hot and you have to work outside. Especially for 8 hours.

44 years ago. An old co-worker said "It's a good life if you don't weaken." Well, I'm starting to weaken.

Wow. That is a lot of years with a lot of sweat and hard work. I hope you can begin to phase into an easier life.

I was an idiot earlier this week. Walked to a neighbor's house late in the afternoon and felt horrible once I got back. Light headed, buzzy feel, etc. and that was only after a few minutes of being outside!

Stay cool!

God the humidity is killing me here.

I remember hiking the Grand Canyon at a young age however, and thought I would die lol!

and the guy has five ponds, one for bluegill, one for bass, one for koi, one for cats. Huge trees, hundreds of free roaming chickens.
Quite humid. And mosquitos and gnats. But overall, here at 4600 feet, the climate is wonderful.

It's been near 80 here in Anchorage for several days, and I feel like I'm dying. One of the reasons I live here is because I like cool weather.
