Should mail that was delivered to the wrong address 14 years ago be returned to sender?

During a move a friend found mail from 14 years ago that was delivered to his address by mistake. He had collected about 60 pieces and put them in a bag but forgot about them and now doesn't know if he should toss it all or return to senders.

They should be sent to the P. Off.

3. I'm concerned whether he'll be in trouble for not doing so sooner.

2. he can drop them in the mail

and let the post office sort it out. i imagine that only a few of the return addresses will be correct after all this time.

4. Just drop them in an outdoor box about sixty miles away from any of the addresses.

That should REALLY fuck with some heads!
