Life's a beach, and then a mountain of water collapses on you.

U.K. surfer Andrew Cotton gets towed into a monstrous Irish wave off Mullaghmore Head.

6-8 foot waves are my usual cut off point for my local break. Mostly because I lack the strength to paddle through the wash to get to the waves, but partly because taking an 8' wave to the head can be pretty rough for my 50 something year old carcass.

I can not imagine what the men and women who surf huge waves go through.
