Need some help figuring out who this guys sounds like...

I heard this song and it reminds me some other singer. It sounds similar to someone that my parents used to listen to when I was kid, but I can't figure out who it is. It's really really really bugging me. No one on my facebook has any idea, so I figured I'd ask a place with a larger audience. Any thoughts would be helpful. I'm thinking the person I'm thinking is someone from the 60s, 70's or maybe even the 80's. I know, this is stupid, but it's really bothering me.

I'm actually pretty much 100% sure that's what it was reminding me of. My parents would play songs from them over and over whenever we traveled on vacation.

in their musical sincerity and exploration of historical subjects like the Civil War or French-Canadian disputes. From a point of view of an individual being displaced. That's how it reminded me of that song Antietam. Thanks for sharing that song. Very good song.
