A co-worker retired yesterday.

He is 59 years old. He had a stroke last year and was off work for about 6 months. He came back,but he just wasn't up to it. Garry was a good guy,and I will miss him.

4. I hope it works out for him

I hope he also knows the cause of the stroke and has taken measures to prevent another. I guess it is the best thing he could do, I am sure work was frustrating for him, it takes time to recover abilities knocked out by a stroke. Have you considered keeping in touch by email?

He is on a diet his doctor prescribed.
