Need an opinion re: an idea for upcoming meeting

In an effort to build teamwork and morale I'm considering trying something different.

I found a site to build find-a-word puzzles. I was thinking about giving the department a puzzle and, if they find all the words in the puzzle, providing donuts for the next meeting. The words will be all department related and there will be no clues given so they actually have to think about it and discuss it.

What do you think? Good idea? Lame?

To show them the hotel's appreciation. This would be just a personal thing to get them to work on communication, something which we are sorely lacking.

I have never participated in one that benefited my work experience, but I worked for huge corporations. You know your people; are they word people? Do they do puzzles? I think that would matter. I don't think it is lame, I think I would enjoy it. Good luck and donuts are always welcome.

As is evidenced by the crosswords and word search books we've found in the department.

Mr gut and I do the Sunday puzzles together and enjoy the competition, gentle ribbing and camaraderie that comes with it.

... something small, but relevant to the team members. Let smaller teams define the problem, then combine. Use techniques like brainstorming to develop alternative solutions, then rank ordering to choose the best.

They should learn something about problem solving and see the benefits on the spot.

I'll need to discuss it with the manager and see how we could implement it. Thanks Scuba!

I have never seen a meeting boost morale.

You tell my team they're getting something and their morale perks up right away. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that we work for tips.
