I had to laugh at the "Life-Alert" commercial a short while ago

You all know the kind--the woman is on the floor hollering because she can't get up off the floor, and then you hear all these testimonies from others on their Life Alert pendants.

First, ever notice they seem to always be women? Is that ridiculous or what? Before age 50, MOST heart attack patients are MEN. Only after menopause does the risk of women and heart attacks equal that of men. Trust me, I know: I was a heart patient at 43, and when I went to the ER for a heart attack I was told I was having a panic attack!

Regardless, I had a humorous moment when one of the women giving a testimonial said she'd give up "milk, beer. ..." but never her Life Alert bracelet or necklace. Beer, huh? You would think a woman with a histiry of heart disease would have stopped drinking beer a long time ago. ...

(I know they say a moderate amount of alcohol is perhaps good for the heart, but it's also a well known medical fact that you should never drink when you are taking certain drugs. And most people who have had a heart attack don't ever want to have another one, so they usually follow doctor's orders.)

I just found it funny to hear that line in the commercial.
