http://www.tickld.com/x/guess-your-level-of-educationIt was a pretty simple test. I scored phD so it was off by several degrees, it did not guess me right.

(63,912 posts)Ph.D range...hmm, I'm thinking general knowledge must play a big role in the scoring...

You enjoy academic settings, as they fit your balanced, self-aware personality. You are engaged in the entire scholarly experience, and always seek opportunities to enhance learning. You are hardworking, and wont let any challenge stop you from achieving the best grades possible. Good for you, Professor!! (not a Professor)

(37,368 posts)OK, I've read a lot since leaving college. Of course hanging out on DU is bound to make a difference.
That's why RW Trolls here amaze me. Aren't they afraid they might lose their ignorance?
You know what BS stands for. MS=More of the Same. And phD=piled higher than the devil.

I guessed a few myself.

(5,364 posts)I just went to an aeronautical college, though my high school curriculum was hard.
I can't believe one would need to be educated that high ( Phd ) to score well on that test. The only one I had to guess on was the one about the physicist who wrote whatever book. All the others I knew off the top of my head.

(7,720 posts)This is one of those internet pages that is complete crap. I have a college degree, double major, but I am certainly not a phd. and do not pretend to think like one. Sure, I could have probably gotten one if I was sufficiently motivated. I don't remember guessing any of them. All it takes is to be well-read to get those questions correct.
libodem
(19,288 posts)But about 4 years of college. Most of these questions are easy if you have paid attention in the last 50 years. I'm sure its purpose is to make average folks feel adequate. None of us got a big head over this.
You can't take back my PhD. I earned it on that funky quiz!!!

(7,720 posts)I wasn't paying attention to much 50 years ago, except for when the next meal was coming and who was going to change me when I started to smell up the house.
I remember taking some sort of test intended for freshmen in high school that was more difficult than this test.

I'm surprised, because I barely graduated high school and never went to college. Not by choice. One of my greatest frustrations in life is that I was unable to get a college education.
But the questions were simple, and easy to answer. It's just a fun game

I guess it's accurate. I have a J.D. You don't write a thesis or do any original research like you do for a normal Ph.D., but you take 90 semester hours of classes that I thought were about three times as hard as undergraduate.
You may still adore me and call me Doctor. (((purr, fart, purr, fart)))
Only a couple stumped me. The Lenin/Stalin question was particularly heinous.
