'Large Hardon Collider': BBC News covers Higgs boson reboot with a smutty spelling gaffe

http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/uk-world-news/large-hardon-collider-bbc-news-5468232

IT WAS always going to happen - a typo in The Large Hadron Collider that takes the Higgs Boson machine out of Switzerland and into a Carry On film.

What wasn't so obvious is that it would be the BBC who would eventually make the gaff.

It's one of the most complex creations in existence and only two letters away from a smutty genitalia joke....

BBC News' coverage of the event managed to mark the occasion with an unfortunate spelling error - switching the 'r' and the 'd' around in the word Hadron.

"Large Hardon Collider" would be a great name for a geek gay bar!
