I live in Indiana and beer is a religious sacrament in my church.

However, alcohol cannot be legally bought in Indiana on Sunday unless you are in a restaurant or a bar. That's hardly the altar of spirits and the unshaven where I worship. That law is impeding my religious rights in Indiana.

The religious crazies went apeshit. The logical folks like myself pointed out the obvious - at any given location in the state of Delaware someone is 30 minutes from a liquor store open on Sunday in Maryland. Why should those tax dollars to another state? Somehow our state managed not to imploded into the fiery grasps of hell when the law passed like 8 years ago. Now we have all the crazies from PA driving to our state where we just sell it all cheaper (along with the folks from NJ getting their cheaper smokers).

3. Yeah, it seems like a law like that also violates the separation of church and state deal.

There can only be one real reason why they don't want alcohol sales on Sunday in Indiana.

Indiana, as a state, is predominantly white, Christian, and conservative. There's not any minority, or even a combination of them, that's remotely close to them.

That's why this place is so fucked up and backwards to the point that's it's an embarrassment to the nation.

7. "Can" being the operative word. My religion is just as arbitrarily enforced as any other religion.

You can also dance. But only if you want to. And you can leave your friends behind.

That's another sacrament.
