They grow in swampy areas - when I was a kid we'd find them and set them off. Great fun.

Pretty flowers that flutter like butterflies. They produce a seedpod that looks like a teeny, tiny penis. And yep, they ejaculate at a touch.

It is difficult to grow things in the shade. You could also try Jacob's Ladder or Solomon's Seal.

Around here we have jumping cholla. Not just seeds, golf ball size sections covered with needle sharp spines. With barbs.

that the sap from the stems is used for treating poison ivy & oak, and reputedly athlete's foot as well, though it's not clear if the effect is anything but palliative:
