I've tried at least 100 times to upload my experimental video w/music. I didn't want to have to download another browser and couldn't believe I couldn't do it from explorer. Was looking for something else on my system and discovered I already have chrome on -- long-since forgotten. Presto.
So I present my practice video: Dahli and me from 2013, when she had about 4 months under saddle. I pulled the music from the public domain stuff that came w/windows music.
Just going in circles, lol

You both look great!
I'm glad you finally got it to work.

(14,881 posts)I'm hoping to do more interesting and better quality next summer. This started out just to see how we looked together, to work on my position and seat. It had been a few years since I'd ridden when I started her in 2012.

(14,881 posts)I'm looking forward to riding this spring, summer and fall. Last year we had so much rain it was a bust. And then it got beautiful in October and November, but by then I was working flat out...this is my break-through year, hell or high water!

(14,881 posts)it's relatively private and quiet in the back, too. And usually not terribly buggy, although last year was awful...

(30,947 posts)I noticed you were posting, so I figured it must be English. I ride both. Took English riding lessons when I was a teenager and was in a few horse shows but never won anything.
Years later, I bought my first horse and owned other horses later. They were Western. I prefer that to English. I finally could not afford the upkeep of horses any longer as I had to pay to board them. I wish I could have another one. I moved in with my son and his wife and we have 3 acres of fenced land. I am trying to convince him that this land would be perfect to keep a horse, but he is not a horse lover.

(14,881 posts)I've also ridden hunt seat when I was much younger. I like western as well. It just depends on what I'm doing...
You really do have to love it...
