1. I was Diana's date one night....sort of

My wife and I were on the transportation committee for the Jacksonville Jazz Fest years ago. Cool gig, got to pick the artist up at the airport and drive them around for the weekend. I picked her up at the airport on the night before she was to play. She had been traveling for over 20 hours and looked like hell.

Anyway. I picked her and her band up the next morning to take them to the mall for a little shopping and sightseeing. I told her she look a lot better than when I had picked her up. She laughed and asked if it was it really that bad.

Got to drive here around the next day and then to her show that night. Afterwards my wife and I were walking over to a local place called Crawdaddys where the after party was held for the performers. We were walking across the hotel parking lot when this tall blonde jumps in between us saying we were here date for the night. It was Diana. We got to see her perform solo at the bar for a couple of sets and then took her back to the hotel.

Great lady and a great night.
