Be the change you want to see in the warm red states!

Are you tired of sub-zero weather? 8 feet or so of snow? Ice roads and sidewalks? And blizzards are so darned inconvenient.

So I invite you to relocate to the warm red states. Turn the red states purple, then blue. We need you. You need us. Sounds like a win-win to me.

snowfalls of 1" or less. Witness Guvnah Nathan "Shady" Deal's response to snow a couple years ago, where motorists spent days stranded in their cars on the interstates.

Maybe red but not warm. There is snow on the ground and my outdoor thermometer is at 35 degrees.

Still...isn't 35 better than subzero temps?

We've been in the 30's here too.

you gotta go, you gotta go. I put her coat on her, then I zipped mine up over my jammies. Elderly dog with wonky hips slipping on the cleared out snow & grass patch scared me, cell phone in pocket. The air was so cold it felt like razor blades in my lungs. Air temp last night was -10 by my thermometer. I am so ready for spring.

When I checked at 7am, it was -21 here. Co-worker took a screen shot of weather.com at 6:30am --it was -24! I dread to think what it was at 4 or 5 am! My poor ponies eyelashes were encased in ice.

I'm past ready for spring. I'm ready to dump this place and move someplace warmer...like Alaska!

I have lived in really cold weather states my whole life. I thought about moving this morning as I waited outside for thirty minutes in the freezing cold for my bus to work. I have always hated winter.

I would like to help make one of those states a little less red. I just can't decide which southern state I want to live in.

11. I have a theory about blue vs. red

I think the "blue" northern states have a high quality of life (good, or at least better, social services, schools, culture, etc) because if they didn't, there's be no reason for anyone to live there. (I'm kidding, sort of).

People put up with stuff in the red states because it costs less to live there and the weather is better (except in summer, when it kind of sucks). I know that's why I do.

Although I am FINALLY leaving the deep south for Maryland. Which I know is still technically below the Mason-Dixon line and now has a Republican governor, so there's that.

And even the south gets snow sometimes.

Personally I'd rather get it frequently and be around people who know how to handle it than watch a whole state shut down over 2 inches of snow.
