(43,890 posts)The lounge is where I go to relax and let my subconscious wonder on it's own while I occupy my conscious mind on irrelevant stuff.
It helps, and it works, and it makes me happy.

(43,890 posts)I'm on an Oriental stint,
So I have Asahi from Japan, Shingha from Thailand, and Tsingtao from China.
That's what's in the fridge at the moment.
Cheers!

(43,890 posts)I was serving a Thai dish; beef and eggplant in green curry. I wanted to have a Thai beer to go with the dish. I could not find a Thai beer in this godforsaken corner of Southernmost Texas. So I bought the Asahi beer which is Japanese, just in case I failed to find the Thai beer. Later, at a different spot in this godforsaken corner of Southernmost Texas, I did find a store that carried Singha; a Thai beer. So I kept both of them.
Truth be told, the Asahi tasted much better. The Singha was skunked. God knows how long it waited there in that spot of this godforsaken corner of Southernmost Texas waiting for me to come by and buy it.
Oh, well, my guests appreciated the effort.
