My normally 15 minute commute took 1.5 hours. I would not be surprised if we had delayed open in the morning. I know what he got today pales in comparison with those living in the North and NE but it does not take much to really mess things up. The next round comes in on Friday (I think). I have not heard how bad that would will be. I'll plan on bringing my work laptop home Thursday just in case I end up working from home.

(10,952 posts)(along with what seemed like hundreds of others who were staying of the interstates). As I drove westbound on NE 36th Street, approaching Broadway Extension (I-235), I-235 looked like a parking lot. I had hoped that, once I got past Broadway Extension, traffic would let up ---- it didn't. I probably would have been better off if I had waited another hour or so when, hopefully. most people would have been off the road.
I'll be watching the closing announcements to see if we have delayed open tomorrow.
That is the exact area my daughter was stuck in. Stay safe!
