After withstanding a spectacular storm, Rick and the others meet what appears to be a friendly person, but find themselves mistrustful. On closer look, the walls in the photographs that Aaron has are not from the prison - whatever they are using in the pictures is a lot higher up on the walls than the logs or pipes they had at the prison.

(56,828 posts)good episode overall - you got some history/backstory of Aaron & Eric, you got Michonne stepping up, and an interesting zombie fight in the dark.

(56,828 posts)I could see Rick's point in not trusting the guy, but also thought he went overboard with the paranoia and by slugging the guy.
I liked that Michonne stepped up & questioned Rick, and that he went along with her decision.
The zombies at night scene was pretty intense. Liked that they gave us some backstory on Aaron & Eric, and that Rick changed when he saw them together, and then changed again (maybe) once he heard the kids playing behind the walls.

(46,737 posts)I suspect we haven't seen the last of that gun that Rick stashed away.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)since they made it a point to show him leaving the group and then putting it in there, it's too big a set up to not have a payoff down the road - even if it's next season.

(26,330 posts)It was a Hyundai Tuscon and they flogged the commercials pretty hard.
Can't thy find a chevy or a ford dealer and get fixed up with a Tahoe or an Expedition?
My partner just read me a blurb about the Hyundai/Walking Dead relationship. The Hyundai had to be kept clean, couldn't be used as a weapon and, get this, couldn't break down. Lol.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)and, put something on the front like a snow plow to get walkers out from in front of your car - like the "cow catcher" on the front of those old trains. (probably not too many snow plows in Georgia, but you may find some in Virginia)
Or, just modify the Hyundai:
But, this would work for me:

(56,828 posts)there was some speculation that Rick/Andrew Lincoln was going to die this season because he was spotted clean shaven between the mid season finale and the second half premiere. I guess Rick is eventually going to get to shave once he is safe behind the walls?

(17,621 posts)I have a feeling that the next crisis to befall the group will come from outside the compound, not from whatever is inside.
Baitball Blogger
(46,737 posts)They seem to be getting bigger.
The next turmoil will occur inside the compound & you'll be astonished as to who's responsible. Probably will end with the cliffhanger till next October.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)I'm guessing if Negan were to make an appearance, we'd have heard rumors of it by now. So, I'm guessing he won't be around until next season.
Scott Gimple does seem to follow the comics closer than Darabont or Mazzara, though, even with the nod to Wiltshire Estates (early in the comics) with Shirewilt a few episodes back.
GOLGO 13
(1,681 posts)Plenty of time for things to get interesting inside the compound and leave us with the "shocking" cliffhanger.
Now that they've reached the compound I don't think we get anybody else from the outside getting introduced for the rest of the season. The group has been outside long enough. I see all the action being inside the compound till the next season.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)next week is 5.12 - Remember - then, we have 5.13 - Forget. I have not seen the titles of the last 3 episodes, yet.

http://www.ew.com/article/2015/02/25/walking-dead-90-minute-season-finale-march-29
The Walking Deads season five finale will be an extended 90-minute episode airing March 29 at 9 p.m., AMC announced Wednesday. In the finale, Daryl finds himself in trouble while out on the run. Meanwhile, in Alexandria, Rick and his group continue to feel like outsiders as danger lurks near the gates.
Joe Shlabotnik
(5,604 posts)Premiers and finale's shouldn't feel rushed, they should be packed with with twists and turns, action and depth. OTOH it might just be an extra 45 minutes of commercials.
