She's my primary care physician, and without a physical every three years, she won't renew my boner-pill prescription. In this case the "physical" involved my height (lower), weight (higher) and blood pressure (lower, weird, huh?).
Knowing I have an astronomical health insurance deductible, she deferred labs and other tests until I'm Medicare eligible (18 months).
So basically, since I was able to ambulate to her office, she deemed me fit enough to have an "assisted" erection.
Why aren't these things over-the-counter? Does the current process make her a "sex worker"?

(12,272 posts)As to why ED meds aren't OTC? Maybe for the same reason your MD wants to check you out before she prescribes them. The side effects are dangerous and the medication isn't for all people, no matter how much they might want it. My cynical side also believes it is about the $.

You'll have to ask Mr. Limbaugh and the catholic church.
