"I don’t get it. Who’d wanna kill me?"

"I’m an editor - they’d just get another one."

(I've been rewatching "Early Edition" lately, but just the first two seasons. CBS Video didn't ever release the other two. Lots of funny lines in that show, and it's nice that they got so many Chicago-area actors although there seems to be a fair number from Buffalo, too...)

"Early Edition" was a fun show from the 1990s, about a guy that gets the next-day's newspaper and then goes about Chicago saving people

Early Edition is an American television drama series that aired on CBS broadcast network from September 28, 1996 to May 27, 2000. Set in the city of Chicago, Illinois, it follows the adventures of a man who mysteriously receives each Chicago Sun-Times newspaper the day before it is actually published, and who uses this knowledge to prevent terrible events every day. Created by Ian Abrams, Patrick Q. Page, and Vik Rubenfeld, the series starred actor Kyle Chandler as Gary Hobson, and featured many real Chicago locations over the course of the series' run.

Okay, actually I loved Kyle Chandler.
My favorite episode was the one where he had to choose whether to save a little girl or prevent a plane crash. (Um, spoiler alert, if that is necessary for such an old series.) The circumstances dictate that he saves the little girl who turns out to be the daughter of the airline pilot who rushes to the hospital, thereby saving everybody.

Sappy, happy good stuff!

And Kyle's character, Gary, gets plenty of looks and attention from women throughout the show

I recently watched one that had Robert Picardo playing a hospital doctor with Gary as his patient. Picardo then went on to play the best character on Star Trek: Voyager, the ship's holographic doctor
