World’s oldest living cat to celebrate 27th birthday soon

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — A tortoiseshell named Tiffany Two is now the world’s oldest living cat, according to Guinness World Records.

The petite cat is 26 years old and will turn 27 in March.

The average cat lives to be approximately 15, while in human years, Tiffany Two is estimated to be 125 years old.

The cat’s owner, Sharron Voorhees, 73, submitted medical and grooming records, along with photos to help Guinness verify the cat’s age.

I hope she's in good health.

It was sad as I watched my Tabby (almost 18 when he had to make that final trip to the vet) decline.

I don't see any gray on the ears. Is she getting frail? She doesn't look a day over 10.

And zomg she's exuding nuclear cuteness. That is one outstanding little baby girl. Take good care of her.

What a lovely little lady.
My Koshka Yekaterina was a tiny little thing, too, and lasted to nineteen years before her kidneys failed.
As the Velveteen Rabbit said, even though you're worn and shabby but much loved, you "just become".

If the owner is the cat's only owner then that means that she adopted the cat when she was in her forties and still has the cat when she is in her seventies.

Wonder if it has anything to do with the breed and/or sex?
