I sometimes get a nesting pair as early as late February and sometimes I will get two clutches per year. The pair will generally stay close to the nesting box for most of the day to watch over it and they aren't that afraid of people so I can sit out on my back porch and watch them. The best part is when they take their fledglings to the birdbath. We call it taking the kids to the pool.
