I couldn't believe it when I saw this headline. I hope it's just that the Irish have a different definition for pecker than we do.

1. No, it looks like they have the same definition.

Maybe their journalists are just more plain-spoken than ours are. Instead of saying, "I'm not feeling too optimistic about the new year," they say, "It hasn't been easy to keep one's pecker up in the past couple of weeks."
