Jessica Simpson Nude Pregnant 'Elle' Cover: Singer Reveals She's Having A Girl!

April's issue of Elle features an attention-grabbing cover star: a very pregnant Jessica Simpson cradling her belly in the nude.

It's not like the "pose in the buff while pregnant" trope hasn't been a thing in the past: there's Demi Moore on Vanity Fair, Britney on Harper's Bazaar, Cindy Crawford on W and on and on. But still, we're a little surprised that Simpson, who's kept her bump pretty covered up, is joining their ranks.

In addition to posing for an adorable photo shoot (there appear to be two covers, one nude and one featuring Jess in a red dress), rumored billionaire J Simps also dropped some major baby news -- she's having a girl!

Really? You couldn't even do something original with your 'Ooo I'm pregnant look at me' magazine cover shoot. Basically she rehashed the photo Demi Moore did 20 years ago.

1. She never fully got over being dumped by Nick Lachey

The Tony Romo thing wasn't her shining hour, either. She's kind of like Jennifer Aniston. She's probably not a "bad person," but she apparently lacks whatever it takes to sustain a mutually enriching relationship. Aniston's paramours pretty much used her and kicked her to the curb, and the same holds true for Simpson. I hope she finds happiness with her new baby, but more importantly, she's bringing a life into this world. She will provide a good foundation or she won't.

Not that she looks bad, but have the damn kid already. I have to admit, I can't wait to hear the name...I'm sure it will be super classy. I know, that sounds really mean. But funny.

9. I admire her a hell of a lot - yes, the cover might be a cliche, but her design line -

shoes, clothes, etc. - is on schedule to rake in over a billion dollars this year.

She might not be an original performer, and she might not necessarily be an original designer (though her things are "cute&quot but she seems to be a damn good businesswoman, whether she's running the show herself or was smart enough to hire someone able to do so.

She also pretty much decided she didn't want anything more to do with the entertainment industry pressure to be a skinny twig - she decided to eat, and enjoy herself.

At least she's not starving herself half to death over some ridiculous twit of a husband like Demi Moore is doing...
