A natural-born survivor, your mental twin is Katniss Everdeen. Few souls know tragedy as you know it, and even fewer are capable of the growth you've achieved through said tragedy. You're tough, talented, and truly at home in the outdoors - something that drives you to push on no matter what. Though for all of the hard times, you've know true love and happiness as well - and share deep connections with those whom you've bonded. For you, life sometimes seems like a test or a game - and we may not always be able to control the questions or cards we are dealt, but we can always choose how we play them.

(16,334 posts)Bold and calculative, your mental twin is Sherlock Holmes! Deeply intuitive and a natural problem-solver, your instincts are uncanny and your knack for peer evaluation unmatched. Although you prefer a more introverted mindset, your tremendous knowledge of the workings of the mind allows you unlimited access to social peers and colleagues. Some may find you overly forward or quite abrasive, but the way you see it - it's their loss. Your brain is constantly working, and if you're not currently solving one of life's big problems you absolutely must keep yourself busy with something creative.

(28,394 posts)Nurturing and endlessly thirsty for knowledge, your mental twin is the one and only Hermione Granger. Incredibly booksmart, your innate ability to absorb conceptual information is only matched by your deep compassion for others. Much of your life is governed by a finely tuned moral compass, one that not only you but many loved ones rely on as well. Above all else, you are a tremendous friend - loyal, heroic, responsible, and infallibly dependable. You may or may not consider books as friends as well, but don't worry - your secret's safe with us!

(38,325 posts)That's what I call one of our dogs sometimes.
If all three of us, me, my dog, and Katniss Everdeen, have anything in common it's that we had largely feral childhoods.
We weren't ever likely to stay on one side of any fence.

BUT, were I to choose on my own: Holden Caulfield, Eustacia Vye, and Heathcliff.

I can live with that quite nicely, and it is surprisingly accurate. I come out as Twilight Sparkle on the Pony Personality Quiz, and Twi is very much like Hermione so I can't say that this is a surprising result.

(12,158 posts)Honorable and empathetic, your mental twin is the legendary Atticus Finch. A noble soul whose experiences in life have shaped you into the morally-balanced person you are today, few others share your genuine passion for equality and justice. Whether it's in everyday life or in terms of overarching societal change, you cannot help but feel connected and driven to changing what is not "right". Above all else, you are a rare combination - someone who is as forgiving as they are morally inflexible. After all, you know more than most that there is no truth in justice unless a person has attempted to walk in another's shoes. Only then can one truly understand another's plight.

How neat. Atticus Finch as portrayed by Gregory Peck in the movie was so much like my dad it was startling.

(39,343 posts)Sherlock, Hobbit, Hunger Games, Harry Potter, and To Kill a Mockingbird (because you have to claim to have read that one).
It looks like they have only watched a few movies about books for tweens (oh and the obligatory Mockingbird reference).
What, are there no Raoul Dukes, Captain Ahabs, Lady Chatterlys, Holden Caufields, Jay Gatsbys, Hannibal Lechters, Jane Eyres .... on the list ?

(53,235 posts)A social butterfly who is much more than she seems, your mental twin is Scarlett O'Hara! Passionate and genuinely intelligent, your heart is one that only responds to true romance and deep connections. This sometimes causes you to put up a "front" whilst surrounded by those you may not feel comfortable around. Your private and apprehensive nature allows only those whom you truly trust into your personal life - and only these people get to know the "true you". Society may want and expect certain things from you, but your core sense of self is what's truly important.

(72,790 posts)Fond of a warm hearth and a full belly, your mental twin is Bilbo Baggins! While you are typically a quiet and reserved individual, your adventurous imagination often gets the better of you as curiosity is constantly bubbling up from within. You may be absolutely in love with your books and maps and tokens of the world - but as a wise wizard once said - "The world is out THERE"! Your knack for exploring and discovering new things is unmatched, as is you're cunning when put under pressure. Yet no matter how far you travel or stray from the path you once thought you'd walk - there will never be any comforts quite like home.
