After 40 years of dealing with a sister in law I could barely stand for 2 hours,
I have cut off all communication with her. Fortunately, she and my brother
now live in California and we live on the opposite coast in North Carolina. My brother
used to ask me to come visit for Christmas when they lived in Pennsylvania and we were here in NC. When
all our kids were growing up, ours in MO and NE and theirs in Iowa, I used to take
my kids to go visit their cousins for several days at Christmas.

No more need now to shove food--or wine/booze--in my mouth to keep from spouting off. There is a definite
advantage to family being all the way across the country.

and I can't really afford it at 110.

Group finger-pointing tells ma so
I'd rather be building a house of snow.
Inside of there I can escape
Because I wear a hat and cape.

to Christmas Eve dinner with my RW family. My son had to pull the car over so I could throw up. When we finally got there, my Democratic uncle was there. Took a lot of the pressure off. My son was worried about the incident, that helped with the pressure also. He was very solicitous all night. Doesn't hurt that he's a lefty too, but he loves his family and hates to rock the boat.
