(12,017 posts)and today we'll do White Christmas and Holiday Inn... I am always a sucker for Miracle on 34th Street (the old and the new version are pretty good). It always gets me when Santa speaks Dutch (or sign-language depending on version) to the little girl and she and her mom just light up... good stuff.

(32,723 posts)Where else can you see Santa and his elves arm up with assault weapons against endless machine gun toting henchmen and then be saved by Lee Majors with the mini gattling gun from Terminator II?

(25,538 posts)One of my favorites is "Metropolitan." Not exactly a holiday movie but it takes places over the holidays. Reminds me of the seventies and early eighties -- my older brother's Bible was "The Official Preppy Handbook."
