Reunited after tragedy - pic

Reunited after tragedy: Barbara Bagley says she never gave up hope that her Shetland sheepdog, Dooley, would be found alive in the Nevada desert after the dog bolted from the scene of a crash that critically injured her and killed her husband. Dooley was tracked down after surviving 53 days in the wild on roadkill and scattered ranch water sources.

otherwise, & I can appreciate what a miracle it was.

I had my own miracle when I found my lost dog years ago. He was lost for a (very long) week before Spring, at which time the weather was still chilly & we had lots of rain.

Unbeknownst to me, he had been picked up by a caring, concerned driver on the I-10 during a thunderstorm, & taken to her home which was about 50+ miles away.

Turns out that while I searched for him every available minute of every day & night, he was living it up on bacon & cheese, his two most favorite snacks.

I think the young woman was thinking about keeping him, but her mom noticed how he made himself at home on their couch & told her daughter that it was obvious he was an inside dog, & that was when the daughter put an ad in the newspaper. I saw the ad the first day it was printed. I'll never forget the exhilerated feeling I had when I got him back.
