8,9,10,17 and 18 I can confirm firsthand...

#1 is definitely true during business hours, but gets a bit relaxed in the late evening...

I keep watch on a certain tv channel tuned to our lobby security camera - when the UPS guy arrives I go out to the hall to wait for him. I do this because I hate waiting for the bell to ring. So after reading this it occurs to me that he may appreciate that I'm there when he gets off the elevator - no waiting for the customer.
