The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsHey fellow beer lovers, PSA for Lagunitas' limited offering...
Strong ale, nice and smooth, a little bit of sweet after taste, paired up great with a nice salmon filet. Be warned though, has a kick - 9.99% ABV. Available through January. Bit pricey ($9.99 most places "on sale" but worth it.

(12,723 posts)We have been enjoying some Ivan the Terrible Imperial Stout from Big Sky Brewing about that price for a 4 pack. Same strength. the bottles and the beer are as black as they come.

(1,495 posts)I hope they have it here in MN. I missing being home in CA and being able to have all my favorite beers.
Thanks bluesbassman!

(19,374 posts)I really enjoy all of Lagunitas' stuff. I usually alternate between the IPA and the Czech Pils, with an ocassional Little Sumpin, but they're all good.
Hope you can find it in MN.

(14,738 posts)....is that Lagunitas is quite widely available in the UK right now. Think it's Adnams who are distributing for them over here. Best one I've had from them is "Lagunitas Sucks".

Funny they poured the Cappuccino in a Stone Brewing Arrogant Bastard Ale glass> I've had the Arrogant Bastard, but prefer their Ruination IPA. All good from Stone too.

(60,014 posts)attempted my first batch of home-brewed coffee porter. Bottled it today - in two weeks, we shall see!
Hey - my book tour may take me to your neck of the woods - it is going to be a busy year for me - nearly made it to Santa Rosa in Sept but that event clashes with one that I am keynoting, so no go.

(26,117 posts)unfortunately, the darkest variety they had was Little Sumpin' Sumpin'. I tried the Dogtown Pale Ale, too, but I don't dig pales much.
LSS was ok - but I would have preferred something darker. So, I'll try Brown Shugga' if I find it!

(19,374 posts)Used to drink Sierra Nevada Pale Ale before I got into Lagunitas. The thing I like about the India Pale Ales is they have more of the character of the stouts, but not as heavy.
Try the Lagunitas Imperial if you can find it, I think it'll fit your darker preference.
