Iron Eyes Cody (born Espera Oscar de Corti April 3, 1904 January 4, 1999) was an American actor born in Louisiana. Going by the name of Iron Eyes Cody, he portrayed Native Americans in Hollywood films.[1] In 1996, his 100 percent Italian ancestry was confirmed by his half-sister. (Wikipedia)
I do remember seeing the ad on TV.
