My first time was such a fraught, fumbling, harried experience, I don't remember details like that.

Now, the second time (it was with a different woman; shows you what the first time was like...) the song playing at the magic moment was "Witches" by the Cowboy Junkies.

The song wasn't really playing, but because of awkward positioning once the deed was about to be done, someone's drawers got caught on the parking brake, it got unset, and we almost rolled into a ravine! So, we weren't "coming around the mountain", but we almost went down one!

probably somewhere around Light my fire on the first side. Summer of '86. We were 16. Acid, dope, piss-warm beer, and always an illegal gathering at the local community horticultural college on summer nights. It was July 29th to be exact, and we also wandered off to go skinny dipping first in Lake Ontario, and then climb over the fence at the local pool. Good times, and to boot; that girl was my first 'real' love. Though the relationship deteriorated over the next year or so, that was the one and only time in my life I was "in love".

Of course it was the much less heralded album Welcome to the Neighborhood, but I didn't want to set her up for any further disappointment, so I went with the song "45 Seconds of Ecstasy". She contended I still oversold myself. :p

More seriously, I don't remember if there was music playing. There probably was in my head, if nothing else to distract me a bit from feeling self-conscious and stupid and clumsy.
