What you collect says something about you. My grandmother emptied out her house.

I collected a cedar trunk that belonged to her family. An wood amunition box my grandfather had gone to the trouble of bringging back from WW2 and a wooden jewelry box my grandmother had on her dresser for years. I had no idea I was collecting only boxes till I thought about a few months later. I figure all those boxes represent love and being held, protected and cared for as we all were by them.

in them, people store what is most important to them. Special things go into them. It is not the box, but what can go inside--but I guess that is the point!

famous criminals. The ropes were cut up and sold by the inch. Brought good luck. Sometimes to get the possession of the rope, a 'cut' went to the hangee's family.

A touching and heartwarming hobby.
