(22,271 posts)in May of 1969. They hadn't even released their first album yet (the one with the lion's head). I was only 14 but had been playing guitar for a couple of years by then and seeing TWO drummers (full sets) blew me away. And of course nothing can match Carlos' guitar. It's like Mozart; instantly recognizable because nobody else sounds like that.
