I think maybe as a child they were too close to the bad dreams I used to have.
Happy birthday to him anyway, and I'm proud to say that I once lived on Mulberry Street. Yeah...that one. In Springfield. In a huge old Victorian house. I loved it.

(12,132 posts)I liked reading his books to my kids. We had the whole collection but my daughter always wanted to hear Fox in Sox.
I've already been informed that we are going to see the Lorax so I hope it's not terribly cheesy...I wasn't fond of Jim Carey's Grinch. Prolly because I grew up with the real Grinch cartoon every year at christmas and felt it was an affront to try to remake it...
