It’s Official: Ghostbusters 3 Is Happening With Female Cast

Ghostbusters 3 is happening.

After decades of false starts and rumors, director Paul Feig has confirmed that he’s making a new installment in the hit sci-fi comedy franchise.

It will feature women in the lead roles.

On Wednesday, Feig tweeted, “It’s official. I’m making a new Ghostbusters & writing it with @katiedippold & yes, it will star hilarious women. That’s who I’m gonna call.”

Feig has directed female-centric comedies Bridesmaids and The Heat, collaborating with Katie Dippold on the latter.

I can see them wanting new lead characters, but I hope they at least work some of the old ones like Murray into the script.

Murray already proved he's an effective cameo from his short in Zombieland.

I personally don't care for her much, so I won't go see it. The idea is not a bad one had they done it years ago. I'm a big fan of the original two and it would be a shame if the "reboot" is made.

6. I'm okay with McCarthy.

She does well in buddy movies. But I have no interest in watching her tackle family problems in her t.v. show. Rosanne Barr did a successful job of hitting that genre.

7. I actually by chance opened the television last night and saw snippets of her show.

I was easily able to not pay attention to it, while waiting for "Arrow" to start.
