… especially since you would be the "next generation" to be enjoying TNG…

Personally, there are great moments from Voyager or DS9, or even the last one, Enterprise…. TNG is my all time Star Trek…

Why the hell did Denise Crosby leave that series, anyway? Bad career move. My favorite persona was Data. My worst… Dr. Palosky.

Though some good did come out of it: "Yesterday's Enterprise" is one of the best episodes, and coming back as her own daughter made for an interesting character and cliffhanger, and her reappearance in the finale was awesome too.

I think there were some English films that had Mirina Sirtis running around topless, if I recall her joking about it.

He was a big fan of TOS and I wanted to watch the new one with him. Like many old Trekkies, he never took to the new series. I became a big fan. But it was something for us to enjoy together. We went to all the movies together. Now I go to see the rebooted films and think fondly of him. Part of me hopes he is in some geek Nirvana enjoying all the sci fi he loved in life. Hard to believe that was 27 years ago. I remember it vividly.

I think my favorites tend to be the ones with quantum disturbances
- Cause and Effect
- Yesterday's Enterprise
- Timescape
- Time's Arrow

And some of the Holodeck episodes
- the one with Moriarity
- the one with Captain Picard as 40s detective
- A Fistful of Datas (double points for the episode title - lol)

As well as
- The Inner Light
- Best of Both Worlds
- All Good Things
- Unification I and II (anything with Spock wins)

I like the Q episodes, too - John DeLancie cracks me up.

And I like the ones with the Klingon Civil War (can Robert O'Reilly chew the scenery, or what?!)

What are some of yours?

I LOVE Redemption Parts I and II

Unification I and II

The Drumhead (Picard is AWESOME in this one!)

Identity Crisis

Timescape (Ships and people frozen in time!)

The Outcast - a GREAT episode for LGBT rights

Cause and Effect

Yesterday's Enterprise

Descent I and II

Parallels

Those are just a FEW off the top of my head!

And Robert O'Reilly rocks so much that my cat was named Gowron

Did you see him in that old board game called A Klingon's Challenge?

I even had a fan-fiction idea that Kavok was Gowron's abandoned half-brother, which led him to a life of mayhem and crime that ended with taking over the Enterprise. I never wrote it, but it was fun to think about

The game was cool though. You'd roll dice and move around and do things, and now & then Kavok would appear onscreen and put you in a stasis field or something. He even gives the players Klingon nicknames

I still remember watching the premier in 1987. I was like 14. Blew my mind! Absolutely blew my mind.

I quit watching for some reason around season 3. When the DVDs came out, I watched everything. What a wonderful series of shows and what a fantastic universe to aspire to (even Deep Space 9).

Such a great inside joke...an employee at a local liquor store walked up and raved about it!

My response of course was in metaphor: "Tom...with his hands full of IPA!"

Die hard TOS fan; but TNG is my fave Trek series, except for much of the first season which sucked ass.
