Favorite primordial god-like animal.

You know, I'm talking about an animal that's been around forever. One that's large, and potentially deadly, and yet demands your respect and takes your breath away whenever you see it. The sort of creature that ancient people would worship out of a mixture of fear and reverence.

I felt as if I was witnessing Earth as it was eons ago. Gators can be so still, but the thought of that power in their jaws just made me dizzy.

Great White Shark: Scientific name: Carcharodon carcharias

Last August I was surfing near my home, and a ten footer glided by me about 2' from my right leg. Fortunately I was too shocked to soil myself.
