Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsI made tuna salad for lunch - but I'm convinced it wasn't tuna.
The after taste is VERY different than tuna, even though it was the same can/brand of tuna I always buy. Has a very shellfish flavor, though I can't say what kind. Blech!
Has this ever happened to you?

(36,307 posts)1. The ex made a tuna free tuna salad once. Not on purpose. She just forgot.
I thought it was kinda bland as I ate it that night and didn't notice that the key ingredient was missing till I finished my plate.

(29,503 posts)7. No, but in reading a bit about tuna, apparently
it gets mislabeled a lot, so I hope it wasn't some kind of indigestible variety of fish that will give me GI distress later. I ate it at lunch and I'm fine, so far, so I guess it was okay, but it really lingered, the aftertaste.

Easy to confuse the cans.

(30,947 posts)9. Albacore tuna is much better tasting and firmer
than regular mushy tuna. I never buy any other kind of tuna, only albacore.
