I was fascinated by the thought that Shakespeareans in England are actually performing his plays in a reconstruction of what they think 17th Century London and Warwickshire English sounded like.

Shakespeare is so full of puns that don't come off unless pronounced "in period."

"If reasons were as plentiful as blackberries, I would give no man a reason upon compulsion, I."

Apparently they also try to recreate the costumes, lighting, etc. Too bad they can't also do the smell and rowdy crowds. It must have been hard to do Romeo and Juliet with people throwing cabbage peels at you.
