I will try to remember all this the next time I am at a bus stop in January and can no longer feel my toes.

Honestly, I'd never lived outside the state until I toddled off to law school in Boston back in 1985. Garrison Keillor kept me sane for three years. Two hours a week it was like going home.

23. Butter Sculptures and the State Fair.

I love Minnesota but I would wager that when one thinks of butter sculpture and state fairs, one thinks of your friends to the south...

I'll be up there in a couple weeks to visit friends. We'll have to have a little chat about this butter sculpture business.

They do have bigger ones.

Did you ever see that movie "Butter" with Jennifer Garner?

Will put that on my winter watch list. Olivia Wilde!

I haven't been to the IA state fair in about 7 years. Of course, when we were there, we stood in line to see the butter cow. They also had a butter Harry Potter.
