Police apprehend naked man near San Jose City Hall after standoff early Saturday afternoon

"It appeared that he was high on something," Morales said. "He was walking from house to house. We had kids who were scared. Officers used non-lethal force to try to subdue him."
The man ended up on the small porch of a North Fifth Street house, not far from East St. John Street. Photos of the standoff show a man, wearing only shoes, cornered by officers. Police closed off the street as they worked to finally get him to surrender.
"We think he just got tired," Morales said.
