He's 18. He does this a lot.
I may not have been the perfect single parent, but I can go to my grave hoping there's one thing i didn't totally effup.

(53,410 posts)Some times he would walk into the room I was in and just give me a big wordless bear hug. It was always when I felt like I was breaking. He died a few months ago, but I know that if he were here he would be giving me his hallmark hugs because of it. It tears me apart and comforts me at the same time.
His hugs will always be with me. I'm grateful to him for that.

(11,833 posts)I talked with my mom on the phone today and at the end of our nice conversation told her 'I love you mom'. She said 'I love you too.' I really enjoy that!

(55,019 posts)where you could hear the (death metal) band practicing a block away down the street. to tease them I asked "Aren't you going to give your mom a hug good-bye?" and they both did it with no embarrassment whatsoever. and it was still daylight out.

Nothing is better than sons.
