Learning about sex and love from old sex education booklets.

I got such a booklet from an elderly lady as a joke shortly before getting married. It didn't get much into sex other then to say that sometimes when a husband and wife love each other very much, the husband will insert his penis into his wife's vagina. It didn't go into any explanation as to why this would be done, how it was done and for how long.

But the best part of the booklet was that it said a husband should occasionally bring home a small gift to his wife to show he is always thinking about her. Even if it's a bag of peanuts. Yes, that is every woman's dream present. No flowers. Just a bag of peanuts.

2. I found a book at a garage sale about 40 years ago

It was called "Yourself and Your House Beautiful"

It was sort of an early sex education book and it was a hoot. Some so-called friend of mine stole it after only a couple weeks.
The only part I really remember was how it talked about a persons "garbage dump." Or as you can guess the excretory system.

It was over 1500 pages.

I won't say much more.

4. I found Our Bodies, Ourselves in the 70's

and I have never had any complaints. One of the benefits of working in the library.
