Oh Fortuna -- Misunderstood lyrics

Actual lyrics:

O FORTUNA
O Fortuna,
velut Luna
statu variabilis,
semper crescis
aut decrescis;
vita detestabilis
nunc obdurat
et tunc curat
ludo mentis aciem;
egestatem,
potestatem,
dissolvit ut glaciem.

Ask him:Who wrote Carmina Burana? Orff.

Of which O Fortuna is the first movement.
Carmina Burana means the songs of the monks of Beuren. They wrote about some pretty wild stuff.

perhaps because few subjects would pair appropriately with music that dynamic.

Used effectively here at 1:32
