Why the Romans built a wall across northern England and said, "Leave them to their craggy mountains and bottomless lakes!"

AC/DC, Malcolm and Angus Young, invented it. Bon Scott used to wear a kilt. He was their original vocalist.

Why is it Scottish? The intricate figures Angus plays in the original could be played on a bagpipe. He also has an open string he hits often, creating a drone effect, also could be done by bagpipe.

I'm very impressed with the guitar work in the original version by AC/DC, but the vocal sucks! Because I don't like people screaming hoarsely.

I'm Scots on my mother's side. As far as I can tell, it means lots of drunks, both male and female. Drunken Presbyterians. I went to a Presbyterian college. On dad's side we have English drunks. Who drink Canadian whiskey.

I have a genealogy book that goes all the way back to the Stuarts in Scotland.

Here's to Scotland!

How do you fix that? You go to a luthier (violin maker or stringed instrument maker) who has a violin shop and get your bow re-haired. They are made out of horse tails. And you have to put rosin on it or you'll get no traction with the string and no sound.

The guy I take my fiddle to is a bow maker. Bows are NOT cheap, yet nobody thinks about the price of them compared to expensive old instruments. They're made from pernambuco wood which grows in Brazil and is endangered. It's extremely dense and makes very strong bows.

You're welcome.
