Rock Song? This includes The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd or whoever. Mine would be Bridge Over Troubled Water, the 1981 Live in Central Park version. Second would be Set The Controls For The Heart of The Sun version from Brighton England 1972. Third would be Hide Your Love Away.

(10,418 posts)Right now, I'm really digging that new Alt-J, "Hunger of the Pine" and "Left Hand Free." I haven't heard the whole album yet because it won't be released until September, but I think it's going to be very good. Warning: Some may consider the following video disturbing. It seems to be at odds with the song.
One more on the hard rock side, Nothing More "This is the Time (Ballast)."
I don't have all-time favorite songs. I listen to new music from a variety of genres and older music that is new to me. My favorites change over time. I do have older songs from my youth that I like and that I'll listen to if there's nothing else on, but they don't do nearly as much for me as when they were new.
I think most people like the music from their youth the best. I'm not sure why that is. I frequently hear on here people saying that they don't like most newer music. I don't think it's any worse than the old stuff. It's just different.
