Anybody seen The Hundred-Foot Journey yet?

My friend is trying to push me to go see Guardians of the Galaxy (she has already seen it) but I can wait for it to come out in video.

I find The Hundred-Foot Journey a more compelling film to go see.

I must be getting old because I no longer find it a necessity to go see the latest big block buster movie on the big screen anymore. I rarely ever go to the movies anymore and when I do I tend to go for well written movies, visually interesting movies, and so on. I loved The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.

Was "dragged" to 100-Foot Journey last weekend. I liked it. I think it will work better on TV than Hoyt Aug 2014 #1

Guardians, which she wants to see also. I like the 3D stuff today. Much better than the 3D "Creatures of the Black Lagoon" stuff I remember.

so I save them for big block-buster things. I want to see 100 foot... but that's a Blu-Ray/Netflix movie for sure for me.

If the movie requires a better sound system than I have, I go to the theater. I have a decent sized LED-LCD TV so I'm, not against seeing movies on it but I really like the good surround sound of my favorite local theaters.

Best Exotic was a terrific movie - on my home screen.

*Guaranteed 4ish per year as my company gives us a movie pass book every year with 12 free tickets - My wife and daughter usually go too so we get about 4 from that. Of course, we go to others movies as needed but only if they need the big screen/sound.
