The funny part about that song...it's not really about Africa per se. It's about "... a white boy is trying to write a song on Africa, but since he's never been there, he can only tell what he's seen on TV or remembers in the past." (description from Wikipedia of what the song is about according to Jeff Pocorro, the keyboardist for Toto, who wrote it.) That's why the whole song is one long romanticized trope of Africa that sounds like something out of Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad.
