19. Nah--I have an 11.5-pound Maine Coon tortoiseshell kittie

who is almost this aggressively cuddly. She gets on top of my books, papers, or computer desk, shoves her face into mine and then rubs each cheek repeatedly against my face, as hard as she can. If I try to turn my head away, she will follow and continue to cuddle. She even does it when I am in front of the bathroom sink trying to brush my hair. She will climb up and put her forepaws on my shoulders to reach my face for cuddling.

If I stop for a moment anywhere near a chair, she will rush over and meep-meep-meep at me (she has a very squeaky voice for such a large kitten). She insists that I must sit down because if I am near a chair it is my job to sit so she can get into my lap--and once there, she often wants to do the face cuddling thing again.

She is 9 years old, but she still thinks she is my baby.

Thanks for telling about your sweet kittie. I have two very independent cats who think they own the house. One does come and stand on my knee when I'm sitting in bed Indian style. Then he settles down and sleeps near me. Other one is a talker and purrs if I get down on the floor on her level. Thank God, humans have pets. They are the joy of our lives in a mad mad world.
