Cat named 'Traffic Light'? It's fitting when you hear her Hurst rescue tale

HURST — When Michaela Brown heard a traffic pole meowing Wednesday afternoon she thought she might just be crazy.

That wasn't the case.

"I originally told the officer I swear it was a kitten because I foster for rescue groups," Brown said.

Somehow, a cat found herself stuck in a traffic light post off Bedford Euless Road in Hurst. When Brown heard her scared cries, she jumped to action and called animal control. That's when a team of city workers joined in to help get the cat out.
